Jamila Rizvi, CARE Australia Ambassador
Author, presenter and commentator Jamila Rizvi has been a CARE Australia Ambassador since 2014. A fierce supporter of our work, particularly our maternal and child health programs, Jamila is also a champion of our Walk in Her Shoes campaign.
Author of the best-selling book Not Just Lucky, Jamila is editor-at-large for Nine Network’s Future Women, appears regularly on TV and radio and was recently named one of Australia’s 100 Women of Influence by the Australian Financial Review.
Last year, Jamila published The Motherhood, an anthology of letters about the first three months of life with a newborn. Proceeds from her book were kindly donated to CARE, helping give women and girls a better life.
Gail Kelly, Women’s Empowerment Ambassador
Gail Kelly is one of Australia’s most respected business leaders, and is CARE Australia’s Ambassador for Women’s Empowerment.
Gail is a strong advocate for CARE’s work, having visited CARE projects in Malawi in 2012, Cambodia in 2013, Vanuatu in 2015 and Myanmar in 2018.
