We seek a world of hope, inclusion and social justice, where poverty has been overcome and all people live with dignity and security.
CARE is a leader within the global movement dedicated to ending poverty. We have become known through our 70 years of helping people for our unshakeable commitment to the dignity of all people.
Our mission
CARE works around the globe to save lives, defeat poverty and achieve social justice.
Our vision
We seek a world of hope, inclusion and social justice, where poverty has been overcome and all people live with dignity and security.
Our focus
We put women and girls in the centre because we know that we cannot overcome poverty until all people have equal rights and opportunities.
How do we achieve our mission?
Our work, approach and goals are defined by the CARE Australia Strategy 2019+. Our ambitions as part of a global movement are set out in our CARE 2030 Vision. It outlines the impact we want our lifesaving work to have, and places gender equality at the centre of everything we do, supporting the most vulnerable communities to overcome poverty and achieve social injustice.
How do we know we are achieving our mission?
CARE has developed 25 Global Indicator to track our progress in key areas of our work, which are cross-referenced with the Sustainable Development Goals. See the full list at Measuring Impact.
